Consumers Twice as Likely to Favor Expedia Over Competitors May 2009 Market researcher eVOC Insights found that consumers are twice as likely to prefer Expedia (43%) versus Travelocity (23%) and Orbitz (22%). Measuring consumer preferences from 2005 to 2009, the study also found that 68% of users remain loyal to Expedia after comparing the site experience to Travelocity and Orbitz, while only 40% remain loyal to Travelocity. Expedia Finishes No. 1 in Customer Loyalty Spring 2009 In the online travel category, the Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index ranked Expedia No. 1. The annual Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement winners are those brands best able to engage consumers and create loyal customers. Expedia Ties for Second in Webcredible’s Travel Sites Ranking April 2009 Expedia and Virgin Atlantic tied for second in the Webcredible 2009 Flights Online report, an annual guide to the most usable UK travel agent and airline sites. In “Internet Travel” Category, Expedia Ranks First in Customer Satisfaction 4th Quarter 2008 The American Customer Satisfaction Index ranked Expedia first in the “Internet Travel” category. The ACSI reports scores and produces indexes for 10 economic sectors, 43 industries and more than 200 companies and government agencies. Each quarter, ACSI updates the results for one or more of the 10 measured economic sectors and the industries and companies within those sectors. Link to index |

Keynote Ranks Expedia First in “Overall Customer Experience” and “Conversion Impact” June 2008 The Keynote Online Excellence for Cruise Travel Web Sites ranked Expedia No. 1 in “Overall Customer Experience.” The ranking is the highest-level score of customer experience by Keynote and is based on an aggregate score of site performance across all 250 customer experience indices and metrics measured in the study.
